- Our operational support and pragmatic advisory are very diverse
- ‘Aftercare’ and follow-up are two of our core values

"Because we always deliver tailor-made solutions, we start with listening very carefully to our clients. We apply the same approach with our project consultants, for whom we look for suitable assignments. We always try to match their ambitions and growth paths in the best possible way with the client’s needs." Business managers Julie Vereycken, Katrien Gielen and Bart Van der Velde shed their light on their Blue Chip Boutique (BCB) 'Public Sector'.
BCB 'Public' consists of 35 project consultants, with varying degrees of specific experience and expertise in the public sector and a network of 30 interim managers. They are supported and guided on a daily basis by a BaseCamp of 8 colleagues, including the three business managers. Bart explains that 'Public' has local authorities, intermunicipalities, Flemish agencies and public companies as its main clients. "Our operational support and pragmatic advisory are very diverse ," adds Katrien. "Public procurement, financial issues, organisational development or exercises on digitalisation, these are all solutions that we already can provide to our customers today." A 'climate director'? A head of housing or infrastructure? Someone to design and set up the procurement department? A project consultant to help optimise mobility in the municipality or a temporary financial director? We have it all.

"Project, process and change management are also in our portfolio, Julie adds. "Just like the other BCBs of TriFinance, however within Public we very often have to balance between administration and political government requirements." For Bart, it’s a day to day activity to capture the client’s questions and provide an adequate solution in order to meet the objectives of the assignment. Based on our extensive experience, we fully understand the needs and challenges of our clients. In this framework we deliver appropriate solutions through our carefully selected project consultants.
What keywords besides ‘custom-made’ characterise BCB Public? Katrien: "Pragmatism, result driven, co-creation and flexibility. In the client’s area we implement tailored and workable solutions. ‘Aftercare’ and follow-up are two of our core values so our job does not end with the assignment.
Customisation, pragmatism, a focus on results, cocreation and flexibility.
"As business managers we also actively go on the road. Corona makes it necessary to do that virtually, but we prefer to tell our story to the clients face-to-face. In doing so, we focus on really getting to know the customer in order to gain maximum insight into their challenges and needs. After all, this enables us to proactively acquire competences and expertise and to develop new products tailored to the customer," explains Bart.
A project consultant at TriFinance always has a whole team behind him. "We help them grow by assigning them to missions that are primarily in line with their ambition and the growth path we have mapped out together. They can rely on mentors, coaches, courses, training sessions and a whole series of online tools."
"BCB Public, and TriFinance in general, exists to help its people grow professionally. We focus first and primarily on the project consultants. When they feel good, they perform better, and this also benefits the customer. We call that “Economies of Motivation®", explains Katrien.
"The people who work for us are in the driver’s seat of their career." Explains Julie further. "We help them grow by assigning them to missions that are primarily in line with their ambition and the growth path we have mapped out together. They can rely on mentors, coaches, courses, training sessions and a whole series of online tools. A project consultant at TriFinance always has a whole team behind him.
"We also do a lot of projects in cooperation with the other BCBs," Bart emphasises. "After all, TriFinance-Belgium consists of a series of entities with a flat network organisation, which allows us to easily combine our public knowledge with the expertise of the other BCBs. This enables us to create unique and tailor-made solutions for often complex challenges. Think for example of MATiz.
