Data Engineering Manager

Your challenge

At TriFinance, we help our clients move towards a data-driven digital organization. To strengthen the growth of the Data & Analytics Expert Practice, we are looking for a Data Engineering Manager. In this role, you will work closely with Data Analytics Managers. Your responsibility will be dual:

• You further develop and manage the data engineering team (30%)
• Thanks to your technical expertise in data engineering, you actively and together with your team support our clients in designing, building and optimizing data architecture in Microsoft technology (70%)

Responsibilities:

• You define and develop the growth strategy within our data engineering activities
• You coach your team by leading by example and setting the right growth path for colleagues
• You integrate the best practices in data engineering in our projects
• You analyze the customer needs, determine the right approach in the projects and together with your team you ensure the right team setting to achieve the result
• Together with your team you design and implement data architectures that meet the current and future needs of our customers
• You build, manage and optimize data warehouses, lakehouses, data pipelines, ETL processes and other data storage solutions in the Azure environment
• You drive continuous improvement and introduce new Microsoft technologies and trends in data engineering

Your profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in data engineering in Microsoft technology
• In-depth knowledge of data engineering tools and technologies (including Python, PySpark and SQL)
• Extensive experience with Azure solutions (including databricks, Synapse Analytics and Microsoft Fabric)
• Experience with data integration, data modeling and data management
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to understand and solve complex technical challenges
• Natural coaching style and ambition to take on a leadership role and take your colleagues to the next level
• Strategic insight and interest in growing the Data & Analytics Expert Practice
• Good communication skills in both Dutch and English
