Mentoring is a concept that we strongly believe in at TriFinance. As a mentor, you provide guidance to other colleagues along their projects. As a mentee, you can count on a guide, sounding board and challenger. It is a very personalized approach towards our tongue-twisting motto of "Furthering People for Better Performance in Do-How".

Mentoring is a fantastic example of how we bring our vision and values to life at TriFinance. Because talking about vision and values is one thing. Putting theory to work is where you set yourself apart.

‘Mentoring’ vs. ‘Mentoring at TriFinance’: Letting our values do the talking

Mentoring is a commonly practiced approach in personal development programs, regardless of company or industry. You could say this is no different at TriFinance… Yet, it is. In our organization, mentoring exceeds the common transaction of question-and-answer between mentee and mentor. To explain how, we let our values do the talking.

Values as a compass

Our TriFinance philosophy is supported by 11 values. Our values are our binding elements between diverse people. While we differ in roles, talent and ambition, we share a set of common denominators that are important to every Me inc.’er. They express what we value as a community of like-minded people who pursue individual goals. Never at the cost of others ー on the contrary: while helping each other forward. Much more than a checkbox on a career development plan, mentoring at TriFinance is about helping others grow, while growing yourself and your community. An ethos that you will detect in our values as well.

A TriFinance mentoring journey, from value to value

Picture this: you are about to kick off a mentoring journey as a mentor or mentee at TriFinance. A core value for a strong interpersonal connection is Trust ー yet trust does not build itself overnight between two people who have not collaborated before. You’ll need openness, responsibility and integrity to gradually build a mutual feeling of trust. Openness sets the tone, creating a safe space for feedback between mentor and mentee. Responsibility is not just about ticking off tasks; it is about your commitment to mutual expectations between mentor and mentee, and owning your career trajectory. Integrity is about doing the right thing, without compromising yourself or your professional relationship.

On a foundation of trust, you can achieve great things together. With Teamwork as a compass, a mentor guides a mentee towards clarity in the middle of complex challenges. A mentee’s Intrinsic Motivation is a strong driver behind the willingness to learn, uncovering true potential and encouraging self-reflection. Pragmatism is part of our Do-How approach and touches upon every aspect of the mentoring journey as well ー by transforming aspirations into actions, and empowering mentees to tackle challenges with adaptability.

Meanwhile, it is not just about a mentee’s learning curve. Reciprocity drives knowledge sharing in both ways, helping mentors and mentees to learn and grow together. Mentorship is a first-rate opportunity to Lead by Example. In doing so, mentors inspire mentees to embrace their unique Idiosyncrasy, celebrating individual strengths and perspectives, and taking up Personal Leadership in their own expertise. During the mentoring journey, mentees emerge not just as skilled professionals, but as leaders in their own right as well, getting ready to pay forward the guidance and support they've received from their mentor.

In this interconnected network of mentoring at TriFinance, growth has no limits. It is not just about climbing the corporate ladder; it is about developing a culture of collaboration and reciprocity. As such, every individual is empowered to thrive and contribute their unique talents to the collective success of our TriFinance community.
