At Tri-ICT, we encourage our colleagues to take control over their own career. We support them to leave their mark. Discover how Bruno, Functional Analyst, leaves his mark.
"I need variety in my job"
Computers, piano and reading. It is the trinity that characterizes Project Consultant Bruno D'Haeyere (43) of Tri-ICT. He specializes in functional analysis and plans to explore new application areas in the near future. For this, he sees also many opportunities in TriFinance's new focus on Robotic Process Automation (RPA).
Bruno was tired of commuting to Brussels. He had spent a decade working there as a functional analyst, in permanent employment and as a consultant. "So I started working for an SME in Kortrijk, where I live. But that was not challenging enough and after 3,5 years, I opted for consultancy again. I need variety in my job. That's how I ended up at Tri-ICT."
"You don't have to eat what's on the plate"
Why Tri-ICT? "The salary package is attractive here. The team is growing and we can rely on the larger TriFinance with its extensive network. It is pleasant working at Tri-ICT and I have my career in my own hands. You don't have to eat what's on the plate. You can help with the cooking. You get to decide a lot. They consider the kind of projects you want. You really do come first."
In his first project, Bruno helped to integrate a new sustainable mobility service for the Olympus Mobility app with a banking app. "Collaborating with many people in a larger project was interesting," Bruno points out.
One of the projects he is currently working on is building a virtual booth where people aged over 65 can request support when they are in need of care. "This is done by filling out an online form with questions that makes it possible to calculate the degree of care needed and take into account the applicant's financial and family situation." Bruno resolves daily issues and performs analysis with a view to expand the functionality.
Another project assignment of Bruno involves the building of a database that provides a structured and standardized representation of the condition of those in need of care. This will allow care providers to consult online how their client is doing and what needs they have.
Bruno is well aware of the importance to complement his qualities as a functional analyst with in-depth technical knowledge and skills. He is currently investing time and efforts on learning and adopting new technologies: "Trifinance extended portfolio of services and expertise including business and technology is the ideal ecosystem for me to take the next step in my career. Because of my interest in business processes and my eagerness to bring my technical skills up to par, I’m for instance very excited about RPA being part of TriFinance's service portfolio.”
