Everlam is a carve-out of Dupont. It is specialized in Polyvinyl Butyral (PVB) interlayer for safety glass laminators. Its Center of Competence, consisting of o.a. the finance team, is located in Mechelen (Belgium).
When the Sales Controller left their finance team, they reached out to our Transition & Support unit in the Antwerp region. Until the start of a new finance colleague, our Project Consultants Charlotte Buyse & Laurens Seys ensured the correct follow-up and, subsequently, the transfer of their financial activities.
TriFinance already supported Everlam in the past with the set-up of S/4Hana, as a replacement of the previous SAP system. This positive experience led to a new, successful collaboration.

"The main scope of the project consisted of guaranteeing continuity. The management team wanted to keep sufficient insight into the sales activities, in order to be able to swiftly respond to important trends or deviations with regard to the budget and the forecast,” explains Charlotte Buyse, Project Consultant at Transition & Support Antwerp. "In addition, we made several analyses within the regions and between the products to support them in making important managerial decisions."

During this period, Everlam seized the opportunity to look for the right person to complete the finance team. This would be someone who, in addition to the role of Sales Controller, would also act as a Business Partner for the Executive Management team. Therefore, at the request of Everlam, TriFinance searched for a "deputy CFO" as a permanent recruitment.
As the project at Everlam turned out to be longer than initially planned, it was agreed with Everlam that Laurens Seys, also Project Consultant at T&S Antwerp, would take over the role of Charlotte. He has formed the last bridge to the start of the new colleague.

An intensive and careful transfer by Charlotte made it possible for Laurens to continue the financial activities in an accurate way. For Laurens, it was his first experience as a Controller. Therefore, he could call on his technical mentor to help him out with any questions.
“I was happy to see that TriFinance could guarantee a professional continuation of the project. Both consultants were very committed and eager to learn. They both made a great fit with the finance team.” explains James.
At the end of 2019, the new deputy CFO started at Everlam via TriFinance. Laurens took care of the transfer of the financial activities.
